I love this painting. To be honest, it is one of the most powerful paintings I have done to date. I painted this in an effort to portray a guardian figure and explore a strong female figure, one with a hint of mystery and mysticism to her. Choosing to put her against a simple sky, one that helped to bring her to the forefront of the viewer's thoughts.
